Heres what I got, I lifted the bed first, then the cab. Had no problems with any kind of over lay or anything but this is on an '03 We also DID NOT disconnect the gas neck and had no issues. I guess you said you're running the same size tires so you won't have to worry about any modification to the front bumper brackets to bring it forward at all. In the engine compartment we disconnected the ground wires specified in the instructions. We also loosened my aftermarket air intake to move it. As far as the fan shroud goes, we used a air powered mini sawzall to take about an inch off. I think you could get a regular sized sawzall in there if it has a long blade. Like I said before, if we add all the time together it took, we did it in about 6 hours, that was with a car lift though. We just loosened the body bolts, lifted the cab/bed with the lift and slid the blocks in with new bolts. Idk what your means of lifting it are going to be. Other than that, drain your radiator, cut the lower radiator hose and install the extender. The brake line relocating brackets are also easy to work with. The steering extension is also nothing to worry about. Have fun and good luck, I love my lift! Any other questions let me know before sunday.

also did you have to weld a spacer over the back wheel because in the directions it says something about tack weld the overload spacers? also the directions talked about the automatic shift cable and im confused on that part also? |

I believe the directions state that only welding is required for a single cab or something. No welding involved for the quad cab. We also didn't do anything with the auto shift cable and it's not any harder to move the shifter or anything. And as far as the lower radiator hose goes, lol, hose goes, it might be tough to remove the clips that hold it in without the proper tools but i'm sure it's do-able with a needle nose pliers or something. We cut it in about the middle, slid the two ends of the hose over the extender, hose clamped em and re installed, probably took like 15 min. Sunday is coming, be prepared lol

Make sure you check all your brake lines. I did my lift over last weekend and had a few complications. I did not need to cut the fan shroud, extend the radiator hose, extend the gas filler neck, extend linkages (nice to have the Econtrol 4x4 and AT) or move Automatic Tranny cable. But I did break one of the brake lines. So be careful. |

I'll probably have to use the brake line bracket they supply, but I can't do that until I replace the broken line. Cab first bed last. Make sure you put towels inbetween your bed and cab, so you dont take your paint off. I used a floor jack for the cab. Started on the passenger side, then went to the driver's side. The used a bottle jack inbetween the wheel and the wheel well. Went from passenger side to the driver's side. Edited by burganb, Aug 7 2010, 04:02 PM.
